A Practice Built on Purpose

About

Strategic Advisory, International Exhibition Management & Cultural Advocacy in Contemporary Art

David Favret operates a contemporary art advisory and representation practice operating at the intersection of artist advocacy, institutional strategy, cultural coordination, and international exhibition management. Developed through more than a decade of close collaboration with artists, curators, museums, galleries, and cultural institutions, the practice supports culturally significant contemporary art projects navigating complex global exhibition ecosystems.

Recent work has included strategic advisory and executive coordination support for Big Chief Demond Melancon’s participation in the 61st International Art Exhibition of La Biennale di Venezia by Koyo Kouoh, where his work occupied one of the most visible placements within the Central Pavilion. The project marked a major milestone in the international presentation of the Black Masking Culture of New Orleans within contemporary art and required coordination across curatorial, institutional, logistical, financial, production, governance, risk management, and media systems simultaneously.

At the center of the practice is a commitment to thoughtful collaboration, cultural responsibility, and long-term institutional alignment. Each engagement is approached through a framework balancing operational precision with sensitivity to artistic intent, public narrative, and cultural continuity. The work increasingly operates within contemporary art contexts where artistic practice, institutional systems, public interpretation, and international exhibition strategy converge at the highest levels.
